Hey, Dan here from Vehix411.com.
Today, I will show you how to reset the oil light,
service light, brake pad light, on a 2011 BMW 3 Series E90/91/92.
To do this, you will need to use this button right here.
And of course, scroll up and down and BC button right here.
Make sure before you start doing this, the door has to be closed.
If it’s open, you will not get into the menu. So close the door, put the ignition on,
or start the car, doesn’t matter. Once you do that, close
the door, start the car, push and hold this. And then you will come to this menu.
As you can see, the oil light is in the red. So you will push BC.
It says RESET. You will push it again and hold it. That cleared your oil light.
And of course, scroll up and down to see what else is in the red.
I already did the brake pads. This is the brakes, oil brakes.
Push, you’ll get the reset button, push and hold it. When you see the clock, once
it’s in the yellow, it’s done. Or in the orange, so in the orange, it’s done.
So we’ll scroll again, see what else is on. We got this light. We’ll push it again.
We get the reset. Push and hold. Then the clock comes up, and when it’s in the orange, so that’s reset. So now everything is in the orange. Everything’s good.
We replaced the brake pads, oil. So the light is off. We also had a brake light over here on. So now that’s all done, so. To do this, make sure the door is closed,
ignition on or car running. Start with this button right here, get to the menu,
and then scroll up and down, and use the BC button.
