Power window not working from main switch.
Hi, Dan here from vehix411.com Today I will show you a video on how to initialize, program, power windows, on the Toyota, Lexus, Scion, same procedure actually on the Subaru’s too.
What you do, of course we got a window here. Driver’s window works, but passenger’s side, rear, and right side, as we push the button, works from the passenger side switch. But it does not work from the main switch. For instance we push, rear, or front, now it started working, ’cause I just initialized. I’ll show you on the rear, as I’m pushing the rear, it’s not going anywhere, up or down.
It’s pretty simple to initialize. All you do is just, push the button on the door, or the window that’s not opening or closing. Go down all the way, go up all the way. Some cars, like Subaru’s, you might have to do five times, and hold it. When you push it down, hold it for a second or two. And then go up, for a second or two. Cause they have the auto-switch, that has to be programmed. So, now we’ll see, as you can hear.
Now it’s working from the driver’s switch. And this one, is working from the driver’s switch. So it’s pretty simple. That door that does not open the window, but it opens to the door, let’s say right front door. You push it down, hold it, until it goes all the way down, push it back up. Until you go all the way up, and then some cars, you might have to do four, five times, and make sure you hold it for at least a second or two. When it’s all the way down and all the way up. And then, your power windows switch will work from the main switch.
