Hey Dan here from vehix411.com.
Today I will show you a video, how to program a passenger seat
on a Mitsubishi Outlander 2013. I’m using a snap on computer.
If you have this code,  we’ll start with the occupancy.
Occupant Classification Present, B1558.
So if you have this code in the airbag module,
you’ve gotta go to the Occupancy Sensor module right here.
And then we have the code for System Out of Calibration,
you will need to calibrate it. Now you’ll go to special
functions, OCM Calibration, and then this is the instructions.
Zero pounds, and then you will need 66 pounds,
about 30 kilograms, and then .1 pound, means zero one pound, zero kilograms.
So if you wanna start it, I don’t have the 30 pound weight on me,
but I will use freon for this test. Freon, not actually cans.
So we’ll start with zero. Nothing on the seat, seat where we’re in
the rear most position. You’ll put yes. Empty. We’ll start.
About five seconds, alright. You’ll put 30 pounds. So we’ll put in 30 pounds.
Or actually 66 pounds, 30 kilograms, so we’ll put freon in here.
Alright, we load it up to about 30 kilograms. We’ll push yes. Seat in rear, do you want to start? Yes. Okay so, go to zero zero test. Remove these.
So we’ll remove them. And for this I’ll just put a screwdriver on that.
It’s about a pound. Okay, got that in there, press yes. It’s empty.
Do you want to. Test passed. So yes, then you go back. Then you clear codes.
Make sure there’s nothing in the OCM module. No codes. We’ll double check.
There is no codes in the Occupancy Sensor. So you go back to the airbag.
And then you’ll clear that code from the airbag module.
And make sure it doesn’t show up there. So once we cleared it, we will double check. There is no more occupancy sensor code. So this is how you program
the Occupancy Sensor on a Mitsubishi Outlander.
