How to scan or check why the engine light is on without a scanner Chrysler.

Hi, Dan here from www.vehix411.com.
Today I will show you a video on how to scan a Chrysler 200.
We have a check engine light on and I will show you how to
scan it without a scanner, computer, diagnostic equipment,
whatever you’re using. This procedure should
work on I believe 2003 and newer Dodge cars,
Chrysler cars, and Jeep Cars. It’s a simple procedure.
All you have to do is when you get this check engine light on,
look on the right side over here where the odometer is.
This is where your codes are gonna show up.
We shut off the ignition. Make sure driver door is closed,
that way you don’t have the door message appear
over here on the right side. So what we’re gonna do, it’s simple.
You put ignition on, off, on, off and leave it on, on the third time.
So ignition off, don’t start the car. So ignition on, off, on, off, on
and we have a code P0113. And then scanning for more codes.
Nope, no more codes. So we only have one problem, P0113.
I believe it’s like a temperature sensor. You can just Google it.
You can just Google P0113 code and it will show up in Google
the description and then you can just fix what the description is for
and then you can clear it by disconnecting the battery.
Or it will clear once you drive and the car tests itself, passes the drive cycle
and it will clear it automatically. Otherwise you can go to http://www.vehix411.com
for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep engine code descriptions and you can see what the
code description is for and repair that.
Otherwise, thanks for watching.
