how to reset , turn off or clear the airbag control module codes on honda civic 06 and up

This video will show you how to reset , clear , or turn off the airbag light on the dash for Honda civic 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 see disclaimer before working on the car.

1 Find the 2 pin yellow connector in or near the fuse box.

2 Get a paper clip and put 2 ends of paper clip together.

3 Install the paper clip in the yellow 2 pin connector. ( make shore you have good contact )

4 Turn ignition key to on don’t start the car.

5 Airbag light will come on for 6 sec and turn off as soon as the airbag light turns off you disconnect the paper clip from the yellow 2 pin connector.

6 Within 4 sec the airbag light will come back on you connect the paper clip back to the yellow 2 pin connector.

7 The airbag light will turn off after 4 sec you disconnect the paper clip .

8 The airbag light will be off for abt 4 sec and blink 2 times and stay off you have successfully reset the airbag light.

9 If the airbag light blinks 2 times and comes back on you need to watch our how to diagnose video and diagnose the problem.

10 If the airbag light didn’t blink 2 times just came on and stays on you have a crash data in the airbag module you need to replace the module or ship it to be reprogrammed for abt $50 go to www.airbagunit.com for more info ( any Honda or Acura that was in an accedent need to reprogram or replace the airbag module )

Diagnose instructions.

1 Find the OBD connector ( on board diagnostic connector ) located on the left side under the dash.

2 Find the number 4 and number 9 pins you can read it on the plug .

3 Pin number 9 is a brown wire and pin 4 is a black wire make sure you have the right pins and wire colors or you will burn a fuse or short something in the car.

4 Get a paper clip and jump the #4 and #9 pins together .

5 Turn on the ignition and the Airbag , ABS , engine lights will blink .

6 Count the blinks .

7 Example if the light blinks slow 5 times and fast 1 time its code 51. (as seen in video )
