This video will show you how to reset , clear , or turn off the airbag light on the dash for Honda civic 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 see disclaimer before working on the car.

1 Find the 2 pin yellow connector in or near the fuse box.

2 Get a paper clip and put 2 ends of paper clip together.

3 Install the paper clip in the yellow 2 pin connector. ( make shore you have good contact )

4 Turn ignition key to on don’t start  the car.

5 Airbag light will come on for 6 sec and turn off as soon as the airbag light turns off you disconnect the paper clip from the yellow 2 pin connector.

6 Within 4 sec the airbag light will come back on you connect the paper clip back to the yellow 2 pin connector.

7 The airbag light will turn off after 4 sec you disconnect the paper clip .

8 The airbag light will be off for abt 4 sec and blink 2 times and stay off you have successfully reset the airbag light.

9 If the airbag light blinks 2 times and comes back on you need to watch our how to diagnose video and diagnose the problem.

10 If the airbag light didn’t blink 2 times just came on and stays on you have a crash data in the airbag module you need to replace the module or ship it to be reprogrammed for abt $50 go to www.airbagunit.com  for more info ( any Honda or  Acura that was in an accedent  need to reprogram or replace the airbag module )

Maintenance Required reset instructions :

1 Turn on ignition and make shore the trip window shows the odo ( it will not reset if its in trip )

2 Turn the ignition off and press the odo reset button and hold it while turning the ignition to the on position.

3 Keep holding the odo trip reset button until the maint reqd light turns off. ( while holding you will see lines in the odo window )

4 Then release the odo button.

5 Start the car and the light should be off.

Tools needed for the job: fingers , oil pan, drain plug wrench, oil filter tool and etc see scheduled service above.

Reset instructions:

1 Under the steering wheel remove the fuse cover.

2 Find the 2 pin yellow connector.

3 Disconnect it from the fuse box take it out so you have good access.

4 Get a paper clip and untangle it (as seen in video)

5 Connect the paper clip in the yellow 2 pin connector make shore it has a  good connection.

6 Turn on the ignition (don’t start the car )

7 Take a look at the airbag  SRS light the light will be on for 6 sec and than come off for 4 sec.

8 As soon as the light comes off you disconnect the paper clip within 4 sec

9 As soon as the light comes back on you connect your paper clip within 6 sec.

10 As soon as it comes of you disconnect your paper clip within 4 sec.

11 The airbag SRS light will blink 2 times and stay off if their is no trouble codes.

12 If the light blinks 2 times and comes back on watch our how to diagnose video to get the trouble codes.

13 If the light comes off and back on and no blinks try to reset it couple more times.

14 If it doesn’t reset replace or repair your Airbag or SRS module (it has a crash code)
