This video will show you how to reset the maint reqd light on 2000 , 2001 , 2002 , 2003 , 2004 , 2005 , 2006 , 2007, 2008 , 2009 Toyota Highlander.

Why does the maint reqd light come on is because  the car has a set timer called service interval it comes on every 5000 mi to remind you of the service specified by the Toyota dealer .

Maintenance Required reset instructions :

1 Turn on ignition and make shore the trip window shows the odo ( it will not reset if its in trip )

2 Turn the ignition off and press the odo reset button and hold it while turning the ignition to the on position.

3 Keep holding the odo trip reset button until the maint reqd light turns off. ( while holding you will see lines in the odo window )

4 Then release the odo button.

5 Start the car and the light should be off.

Tools needed for the job: fingers , oil pan, drain plug wrench, oil filter tool and etc see scheduled service above.

Parts needed for the job: motor oil, oil filter.
